His hands shall also finish it Part 2

I have often wondered why youtube has had so little competition in the past. The good thing about this Covid conspiracy and controversial election fraud climate that is taking place is that the blatant censorship by big tech companies like youtube, has encouraged other emerging platforms for truth-seekers to use instead of youtube.

One of the emerging platforms that provides an alternative to youtube is Rumble.com. Another one is brandnewtube.com. Another is NewTube. I think there are a few others, but I forget what they are. If you are aware of any, please email me so that I can add them to the list of alternative media video platforms. These new platforms provide wonderful resources for bypassing the fake news outlets and getting valid news updates.

The REPORT that VEXES all people

In the first post of this series we discussed the passage in section 97 which informs us that the “Lord’s scourge” comes in the form of a false
REPORT that would VEX ALL PEOPLE and that this scourge would not be stayed until the Lord comes.

It is difficult to believe that any kind of REPORT could VEX all people in the world.

Recently a friend sent me a statement by Jim Carrey that seems rather profound

That is about as succinctly as anyone can summarize it from a secular point of view.

Who would have thought that medicine would be weaponized to bring about the bondage that we are beginning to experience? And so quickly!

Of course, we know that the plans of the global cabal are for the current bondage to increase and become more oppressive with every seasonal wave that is embellished by focusing on “cases” generated by the false PSR test, rather than legitimate number of deaths.

In the past, whenever I would read section 103 about how Joseph would return to lead God’s people out ofbondage” I would have a brain fart because I just knew that those of us living in the USA could never be brought into any kind of serious bondage:

16 Therefore, I will raise up unto my people a man, who shall lead them like as Moses led the children of Israel.

17 For ye are the children of Israel, and of the seed of Abraham, and ye must needs be led out of bondage by power, and with a stretched-out arm.

18 And as your fathers were led at the first, even so shall the redemption of Zion be.

19 Therefore, let not your hearts faint, for I say not unto you as I said unto your fathers: Mine angel shall go up before you, but not my presence.

20 But I say unto you: Mine angels shall go up before you, and also my presence, and in time ye shall possess the goodly land.

21 Verily, verily I say unto you, that my servant Joseph Smith, Jun., is the man to whom I likened the servant to whom the Lord of the vineyard spake in the parable which I have given unto you.

22 Therefore let my servant Joseph Smith, Jun., say unto the strength of my house, my young men and the middle aged—Gather yourselves together unto the land of Zion, upon the land which I have bought with money that has been consecrated unto me.

A friend of mine recently minimized the significance of the current Covid restrictions. He feels I am overreacting to this situation.

He said, “..as long as I have a job and income and am able to play golf, I am not really concerned about the Covid-19 restrictions.”

I asked him: “at what point are you going to become concerned and become proactive in pushing back against government overreach and oppression?”

He thought for a moment and then said: “As soon as I am hungry“.

Sadly, once we are all hungry, it is going to be pretty difficult to do anything about this.

On the other hand, I am of the belief that all of this is according to the providence of God and that only divine intervention will deliver us out of this mess anyway, so maybe he is right.

A Spiritual War in which Sorcery causes a veil of stupidity

We know this global delusion is actually the manifestation of a spiritual war that is taking place and that the veil of darkness comes from apostasy. In the words of Joseph Smith, a veil of stupidity has fallen upon the inhabitants of the earth.

This is what he said just as the dispensation of the Gospel of Christ was coming to an end preliminary to the ushering in of the intercessory dispensation of the gospel of Abraham:

“For some length of time I have been carefully viewing the state of things, as it now appears, throughout our Christian land; and have looked at it with feelings of the most painful anxiety. While upon one hand I behold the manifest withdrawal of God’s Holy Spirit, and the veil of stupidity which seems to be drawn over the hearts of the people….” (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, Deseret Books, Joseph F. Smith, 1989, pg. 13)

If the veil of stupidity was so strong back at that dispensational transition back then, it is no wonder that we are experiencing such a veil of stupidity at this time. Nevertheless, while the children of darkness are being overcome, the children of light are now getting an increase of God’s spirit, preparing them for the final restoration. Nevertheless, the children of light are also walking in darkness to some degree.

Speaking of this very time that we are living in, John the Revelator noted that “by sorceries were all the nations deceived. (Rev 18:23)

Imagine that.

As you walk around looking at all of the idiots that fearfully drive around in their cars by themselves with their face masks on and wondering how such deception could possibly take hold upon otherwise seemingly rational and sane people, has it occurred to you that this world is currently under an occult spell by Satanists?

Scripture informs us that God is using unrighteous politicians and governments and a global cabal to scourge the ungodly. The indignation of the Lord has been kindled against the abominations of the ungodly.

As capitalism is destroyed and the income of most people is taken away, a global monetary reset will result in the final transfer of wealth. Finally, the cabal plans to come to the rescue with a monthly income for everyone that is willing to conform to the demands that are made.

God is allowing Satan and his minions to gain great hold upon the hearts and minds of the masses because of the global apostasy.

As prophesied in section 97, Vengeance has come upon this world SPEEDILY.

The promise is that Zion shall escape this if “she observe to do all tings whatsoever I have commanded her“.

Bingo

The remedy is not Donald Trump.

The remedy to this vexation that has come upon us is a final collective repentance that brings us full circle to the law of God in section 42 which contains the law of consecration.

When the fulness of the gospel was restored through the prophet Joseph the Lord made it abundantly clear that the only way to escape the coming calamity was to obey his law in section 42 that was revealed in Kirtland Ohio. The promise was to receive the spiritual endowment that they had been anticipating. The mandate was for the saints to become equal in all things.

11 For all flesh is corrupted before me; and the powers of darkness prevail upon the earth, among the children of men, in the presence of all the hosts of heaven—

12 Which causeth silence to reign, and all eternity is pained, and the angels are waiting the great command to reap down the earth, to gather the tares that they may be burned; and, behold, the enemy is combined.

13 And now I show unto you a mystery, a thing which is had in secret chambers, to bring to pass even your destruction in process of time, and ye knew it not;

31 And that ye might escape the power of the enemy, and be gathered unto me a righteous people, without spot and blameless—

32 Wherefore, for this cause I gave unto you the commandment that ye should go to the Ohio; and there I will give unto you my law; and there you shall be endowed with power from on high;

33 And from thence, whosoever I will shall go forth among all nations, and it shall be told them what they shall do; for I have a great work laid up in store, for Israel shall be saved, and I will lead them whithersoever I will, and no power shall stay my hand. (section 38)

The law of God which contains the law of consecration and the spiritual endowment is the remedy given that will enable the pure in heart in Zion to escape this power of the enemy.

As Hyrum Smith said, Nauvoo is the place where the Lord will hide his elect from the indignation that shall scourge the wicked:

“.. come forth unto this place from all the world, until it is filled up, and polished, and sanctified according to my word, saith the Lord, come ye forth from the ends of the Earth, that I may hide you from mine indignation that shall scourge the wicked.. saith the Lord. even so, Amen. Hyrum Smith— Patriarch for the whole Church.”

Section 29 informs us that the elect need to be gathered to be prepared in all things against the day of tribulation:

7 And ye are called to bring to pass the gathering of mine elect; for mine elect hear my voice and harden not their hearts;

8 Wherefore the decree hath gone forth from the Father that they shall be gathered in unto one place upon the face of this land, to prepare their hearts and be prepared in all things against the day when tribulation and desolation are sent forth upon the wicked.

A final restoration must take place when God’s servants return to finish their assignments.

This strange act is about to take place.

Are you ready for it?

Are you ready to repent?

Do you even think you need to repent?

Dear reader, John the revelator saw you and me and he seems to think that we need to repent. He thinks all the nations of the world including you and me, have been deceived by sorceries.

The Lord’s Scourge and associated vexation spoken of in section 97 is intrinsically interrelated to the House of the Lord in the land of Zion that is being spoken of.

The emergence of this scourge and vexation is a sign that the House of the Lord mentioned in section 97 and 124 is about to be successfully built speedily.

The last attempt to build it speedily failed but the final attempt will be successful.

Section 97 uses the term “speedily” twice.

It informs us that “vengeance cometh speedily ” upon the ungodly as the “whirlwind“.

Also, the Lord commands the House of the Lord to be “built speedily, by the tithing of my people”

Who would have thought that a global lockdown would take place within just months of the announced pandemic and false report about the seriousness of the virus?

The “Lord’s scourge” in section 97 is not to be confused with serious disease that will come forth. It is not referring to the “desolating scourge” in section 5 or the “overflowing scourge” mentioned in section 45. It is referring to a false
REPORT about a sickness.

The Lord places this scourge of oppression upon the world through wicked leaders.

That is not to say that a much greater sickness could not eventually grow out of the flu that currently has so many people paranoid. I suspect the global cabal has much more potent bioweapons to unleash when they deem it necessary.

We are informed that the vexation from the Lord’s scourge will not be
stayed until the Lord come.

Is that referring to the final coming of the Lord in glory?

I think not.

I believe it is referring to the third, secret appearance of the Lord’s presence on the earth spoken of in both section 97 and 124.

The time of the Lord’s return in secret is upon us.

Let those who have ears to…

Secret Combinations

BTW Shortly after the first post I got the following email from a reader of this blog who has done extensive research about secret combinations. She provided an attachment of her research and said I could share it with anyone that would be interested in reviewing her research.

Those who would be interested in reading her research and conclusions can click on the following link

SECRET COMBINATIONS ^0 AMERICA’S DESTINY 2030–WITH 2020 UPDATE-3.

Is the Nauvoo Temple on the hill justified in revelation?

I got this email shortly after posting part 1 of this series

Watcher,

Your latest post got me giddy with excitement. I read the beginning last night and wanted to save the rest for my study this morning. I am re-commencing a read-through, but I wanted to keep a log here as I do.

The topics you are bringing into question are, quite frankly, extremely important for those waiting and watching – who know the law of the gospel and already accept the LDS church (or any of its remnants) to be apostate. I must say I am a little envious of your pilgrimage to Nauvoo. My dad and I planned on going there for April 2020. In hindsight I am glad this fell through, because it would have surely included one last endowment ceremony for me to sit through and try not to laugh.

Firstly….Watcher! “The REPORT thereof shall vex all people”

Wow. What a game-changer.

Of course, the enemy knows a desolating sickness/scourge will come forth. The “report” vexing all people was a jaw-dropper for me.

Secondly, thank you for pointing out the JST addition to Genesis 7:11. God’s word never ceases to amaze me with these subtle and seemingly-minor nuggets of information that navigate followers of Christ through the prophetic narratives.

After accepting the church to have been rejected, the sermon by Hyrum Smith inter-relating with Isaiah 26 has stayed with me ever since. The lockdown, and having to enter “my” chambers, not any secret ones has been quite the experience. Either a time to buy or sell, or a time to seek wisdom out of the best books.

I, too, agree that Nauvoo is the gathering place the first elders will bring the Saints to before being caught up in the cloud. This is probably the best-kept secret of Mormonism. Because it should be obvious? maybe?

You said, Revelation never explains why two different House of the Lord were necessary. Nor does it ever differentiate between each of their purposes?

I might be able to contest you on this. But, I want to see where you are going!

Keep up the great work.

It is gratifying that this person understands that Nauvoo is the initial gathering place of the elect that will ultimately result in the catching up into the cloud.

I am also impressed that he wants to challenge me about my speculation that the Lord did not command two separate and distinct houses to be built in Nauvoo.

This is wonderful.

Bring it on friend!

A healthy discussion and/or civil debate is how we all learn.

Keep in mind that I also once believed that both Houses of the Lord were inspired and necessary.

I blindly bought into the orthodox history of the church.

To my knowledge, I am the first person in recent years to begin pointing out these issues. But after reviewing my past research and documentation on this topic, I am now very open to the possibility that only one of these Houses was commanded to be built by the Lord. If this is the case, it explains several things.

More on that later.

Was Section 97 the Revelatory Justification for Building the Temple on the Hill ???

Years ago I debunked the falsehood that section 124 was the justification for the Nauvoo Temple that sits up on the hill. Joseph and the saints never believed or taught that at the time section 124 was given.

One of the many evidences of this is that even though construction on the Nauvoo Temple on the hill had already begun, the Lord makes the following statement in section 124

42 And I will show unto my servant Joseph all things pertaining to this house, and the priesthood thereof, and the place whereon it shall be built.

43 And ye shall build it on the place where you have contemplated building it, for that is the spot which I have chosen for you to build it.

As you can see, construction on the house of the Lord spoken of in 124 had not yet begun.

We know that construction on the Temple on the hill had begun.

On January 15 1841, before section 124 was received on January 19 1841, The First Presidency reported, “The Temple of the Lord is in the progress of erection.” (Times and Seasons,2 [15 Jan 1841]: 274.)

The fairy-tale that 124 was speaking about the temple on the hill emerged and took on a life of its own decades after the saints were rejected as a church with her dead (124: 32 ) and force to flee Nauvoo.

The Lord had promised the Saints that they would not be moved out of their place if they hearken to the voice of the Lord:

45 And if my people will hearken unto my voice, and unto the voice of my servants whom I have appointed to lead my people, behold, verily I say unto you, they shall not be moved out of their place.

46 But if they will not hearken to my voice, nor unto the voice of these men whom I have appointed, they shall not be blest, because they pollute mine holy grounds, and mine holy ordinances, and charters, and my holy words which I give unto them.

Clearly the saints failed to repent, live the law of God and complete the Nauvoo Boarding House of the Lord.

An attentive reading of section 124 shows that the Nauvoo Boarding House of the Lord was a foundational theme with no distinct mention of the Temple on the hill.

Another reason we know that Section 124 does not command the Nauvoo Temple to be built is because the Nauvoo Temple committee, placed an article in the Times and Seasons, declaring section 97 to be the revelatory justification for the building of the Nauvoo Temple which sits higher up on the hill.

Below is a snippet from Volume 2 Number Seven of the Times and Season Page 295 under the date of February 1, 1841 which was apparently inserted by the temple committee:

“To show more fully the will of God concerning the house which is to be built, we make an extract from the book of Covenants, page 209, [section 97] which reads as follows:

10 Verily I say unto you, that it is my will that a house should be built unto me in the land of Zion, like unto the pattern which I have given you.

11Yea, let it be built speedily, by the tithing of my people.

12 Behold, this is the tithing and the sacrifice which I, the Lord, require at their hands, that there may be a house built unto me for the salvation of Zion—

13For a place of thanksgiving for all saints, and for a place of instruction for all those who are called to the work of the ministry in all their several callings and offices;

14That they may be perfected in the understanding of their ministry, in theory, in principle, and in doctrine, in all things pertaining to the kingdom of God on the earth..’

Now, I would candidly ask the Saints, and all who desire to do the will of God, will we lay hold with our mights to accomplish this mighty, this glorious work, and show by our works, that we, who enjoy the glorious privilege of living in these latter days, (in which God has begun his work to bring to pass the gathering of his elect,) are worthy of the high privileges which we enjoy, by coming up like men of God and sacrifice, and by our works show that we are such a people as the Lord would have gathered together, as described in the 50th Psalm which says:

“Gather my Saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice?”

Among the sacrifices which God requires at this time is the tithing for the building of this house.”

As you can see, the article in the Times and Seasons is specifically identifying section 97 which had been given nearly a decade earlier, as the revelation commanding the building of the Nauvoo Temple on the hill.

I am now going to challenge the above declaration of the temple committee. I am going to show that both sections 97 and 124 both referred to the boarding house of the Lord down by the river. There is no revelation that mandates the building of the Nauvoo Temple that sits up on the hill

Clearly, Joseph Smith and his contemporaries in Nauvoo believed that Section 97 was the revelatory justification for the Temple on the Hill and section 124 was the justification for the House of the Lord down in the valley, on the Banks of the Mississippi River. But I am challenging that!

When I first discovered these issues and discrepancies several years ago, I was so relieved to be vindicated in my speculation about section 124 exclusively pertaining to the boarding house of the Lord by the river, that I simply accepted the claim that section 97 was referring to the Nauvoo Temple on the hill.

After all, I have been brainwashed into thinking that Joseph was inspired to build the Temple on the hill.

However, after visiting this topic again with greater scrutiny, I am now considering the possibility that only one of these Houses of the Lord was ever commanded to be built by the Lord.

Interestingly, there are multiple reasons to believe that section 97 was also addressing the Boarding House of the Lord on the banks of the River.

In other words, section 97 was simply the preliminary sister revelation to section 124.

Let’s review a few of them by parsing through some of the verbiage in section 97 and 124 while looking for historical and prophetic clues that provide context.

One powerful reason to deduce that two houses of the Lord were not necessary in such close proximity is because section 124 never mentions any other house besides the boarding house of the Lord by the river. Indeed, the following passage makes every House of the Lord generic in that the Saints are “always commanded to build” a House of the Lord so that the “ordinance of my house” may be had, which includes anointings, washings, baptisms for the dead, solemn assemblies, memorials, sacrifices by the sons of Levi, holy conversations with the Lord, statutes, judgements, etc.

39 Therefore, verily I say unto you, that your anointings, and your washings, and your baptisms for the dead, and your solemn assemblies, and your memorials for your sacrifices by the sons of Levi, and for your oracles in your most holy places wherein you receive conversations, and your statutes and judgments, for the beginning of the revelations and foundation of Zion, and for the glory, honor, and endowment of all her municipals, are ordained by the ordinance of my holy house, which my people are always commanded to build unto my holy name.

40 And verily I say unto you, let this house be built unto my name, that I may reveal mine ordinances therein unto my people;

41 For I deign to reveal unto my church things which have been kept hid from before the foundation of the world, things that pertain to the dispensation of the fulness of times.

42 And I will show unto my servant Joseph all things pertaining to this house, and the priesthood thereof, and the place whereon it shall be built.

Here is a bullet point listing of what the Boarding House of the Lord by the river is to be used for, leaving a huge question as to why the Temple on the Hill would be necessary:

The Boarding House of the Lord was to be-

  • built unto the Lords name with the Lord’s name on it (22 & 56)
  • built in a designated place shown to Joseph Smith by Revelation (22 & 43)
  • a place for boarding “strangers”(Seed of Abraham) from afar (23)
  • a refuge of “health and safety” a “healthful habitation” (23-24)
  • a resting place for the weary traveler (60)
  • a place to contemplate the word of the Lord and the corner-stone (23)
  • holy place without pollution overseen by a “Governor” (24)
  • inhabited by the Lord who will “dwell” therein (24)
  • The solution for the dilemma that a house was not found on earth for the fulness of the priesthood to be restored (Kirtland Temple had been defiled (28)
  • a place with a baptismal font for the dead (29)
  • built within a “sufficient” time or result in the church being rejected with their dead (31-33)
  • a place where the keys of the holy priesthood are ordained with recipients receiving honor and glory (34)
  • a place where washings are performed (37)
  • a place where ordinances may be revealed that have been hid from the foundation of the church (38, 40, 41)
  • a place where the “ordinance of the Holy House” is performed to actuate anointings, washings, baptisms for the dead, solemn assemblies, memorials for the sacrifices by the sons of Levi, oracles in the most holy places where conversations are received, statutes and judgments for the beginning of the revelations and foundation of Zion and for the glory, honor and endowment of all her municipals. (39)
  • a place where the oath and covenant of the priesthood is made in the house (47)
  • a place, that will result in cursings, wrath, indignation and judgments if not built, or if built and defiled because of the follies and abominations of an apostate people (47)
  • a place where Joseph and “his house” are to “have a place herein from generation to generation.. for ever and ever” that blessing shall be put on the head of his posterity after him. (56-57)
  • a place where other specified people and their generations after them, may have a place in the house, subject to obedience and paying for stock. ie, Vinson Knight, Hyrum Smith, Isaac Galland, William Marks, Henry G. Sherwood, William Law, and others. Some with conditional promises and others with unconditional promises.
  • a place that the privilege of paying stock was limited to those who believed in the existing publications of the Book of Mormon and the Doctrine and Covenants as of 1841 which both taught a strict law of monogamy and strictly prohibited the practice of plural marriage and did not acknowledge the existence of a doctrine of exaltation predicated on a spiritual wife doctrine with a plurality of wives. The warning that anything more or less that what was taught in those canons of scripture “cometh of evil” and “shall be attended with cursings and not blessings” (119-120)
  • A quorum consisting of George Miller, Lyman Wight, John Snider and Peter Haws are to oversee the building of the House and the selling of stock for building it (62-63)

With that listing in mind, what purpose would the Nauvoo Temple on the hill serve??

What differentiates the Temple on the hill from the House of the Lord by the river?

I am unaware of any credible documentation that gives a definitive purpose of the temple on the hill which differentiates its existence from the House of the Lord down on the river.

Work of the Ministry

Something else that becomes quite revealing is the fact that both the House of the Lord mentioned in section 97 AND the one mentioned in section 124 are both for the
WORK OF THE MINISTRY!

Clearly, both revelations were addressing the boarding house of the Lord by the river

Section 97 Section 124
12 Behold, this is the tithing and the sacrifice which I, the Lord, require at their hands, that there may be a house built unto me for the salvation of Zion—

13 For a place of thanksgiving for all saints, and for a place of instruction for all those who are called to the work of the ministry in all their several callings and offices;

14 That they may be perfected in the understanding of their ministry, in theory, in principle, and in doctrine, in all things pertaining to the kingdom of God on the earth, the keys of which kingdom have been conferred upon you.

143 The above offices I have given unto you, and the keys thereof, for helps and for governments, for the work of the ministry and the perfecting of my saints.

144 And a commandment I give unto you, that you should fill all these offices and approve of those names which I have mentioned, or else disapprove of them at my general conference;

145 And that ye should prepare rooms for all these offices in my house when you build it unto my name, saith the Lord your God. Even so. Amen.

As you can see, section 97 and 124 are identifying the house of the Lord that is to be built in the land of Zion to be for the “work of the ministry“. Why does Nauvoo need two Houses for the work of the ministry?

I think the above passages demonstrate that section 97 was the preliminary revelation for the Boarding House of the Lord by the river while section 124 is the confirming revelation. Both were referencing the House of the Lord on the river. This is why the Lord said, “And again, verily I say unto you, I command you again to build a house to my name..” (124:55) The Lord was reiterating what he had already told them nearly a decade earlier.

Both Revelations reveal URGENCY in construction

Another thing to consider is that section 124 mandates URGENCY in building the House with the consequence of being rejected as a church if the project is not completed within the predetermined “SUFFICIENT TIME

Amazingly, Section 97 also mandates that the House be built SPEEDILY!

Is that just a coincidence?

I think not. The Lord knew way back when 97 was given that when it was built it would need to be built quickly.

The next comparison of similar passages speaks of keeping the House holy:

Do Not Suffer Any [unclean thing] [pollution]

Section 97 Section 124
15 And inasmuch as my people build a house unto me in the name of the Lord, and do not suffer any unclean thing to come into it, that it be not defiled, my glory shall rest upon it;

16 Yea, and my presence shall be there, for I will come into it, and all the pure in heart that shall come into it shall see God.

17 But if it be defiled I will not come into it, and my glory shall not be there; for I will not come into unholy temples.

24 This house shall be a healthful habitation if it be built unto my name, and if the governor which shall be appointed unto it shall not suffer any pollution to come upon it. It shall be holy, or the Lord your God will not dwell therein.

Both revelations are admonishing the saints to not suffer pollution or unclean things to defile the House.

Admittedly, this admonition applies to all Houses of the Lord and it was also given regarding the Kirtland Temple. Nevertheless, it is another similarity worth noting since that narrative is not contained in all revelations pertaining to building a house unto the Lord. Section 97 and 124 largely mirror each other.

Both Houses were to provide a dwelling place for the Lord

The next conundrum for those who think the Temple on the hill was justified is found in the passages below. Keep in mind the Lord made the following statement about the Boarding House of the Lord on the river AFTER the Temple on the hill had already been started.

28 “and build a house to my name, for the Most High to dwell therein.

For there is not a place found on earth that he may come to and restore again that which was lost unto you, or which he hath taken away, even the fulness of the priesthood.

29 For a baptismal font there is not upon the earth, that they, my saints, may be baptized for those who are dead—

30 For this ordinance belongeth to my house, and cannot be acceptable to me, only in the days of your poverty, wherein ye are not able to build a house unto me.

Clearly the Kirtland Temple had been defiled and was no longer an acceptable House for the Most High to dwell in and restore the fulness of the priesthood which had been lost.

But why does section 124 present the Boarding House of the Lord by the river as the answer to having a holy house for the Lord to dwell in and to restore the fulness of the priesthood if the Temple on the hill was further along in completion when the revelation was given?

Would it not have provided a place for the Lord to dwell and restore the priesthood had it truly been commanded to be built by the Lord??

Were both Houses necessary for Baptisms for the Dead?

And why is the Boarding House of the Lord the answer to having a place for the baptisms for the dead if the temple on the hill also would be used for that ordinance and was further along in construction?

By the way, since section 124 is referring to the Boarding House of the Lord by the river, where is the mandate given for Baptisms for the dead to be performed in the temple on the hill??

If section 97 really was the sole revelatory justification for the temple on the hill, why no mention of baptism for the dead?

Pure in Heart

Again we see a repeat of another theme having to do with the pure in heart, but why the need for two houses for the pure in heart?

Section 97 Section 124
16 Yea, and my presence shall be there, for I will come into it, and all the pure in heart that shall come into it shall see God. 54 For I am the Lord your God, and will save all those of your brethren who have been pure in heart, and have been slain in the land of Missouri, saith the Lord.

55 And again, verily I say unto you, I command you again to build a house to my name, even in this place, that you may prove yourselves unto me that ye are faithful in all things whatsoever I command you, that I may bless you, and crown you with honor, immortality, and eternal life.

The term “pure in heart” only shows up in six revelations in the D&C and among the revelations that speak of building a house of the Lord, it only shows up in Section 97 and 124. Hmmm

Again, this begs the question, why the need for two Houses located just blocks away from each other, for
the pure in heart
to prove themselves and see God?

One would think that if two huge structures needed to be built during stressful times with a limited window of time to complete them, that revelatory clarity would have been given as to why two houses needed to be built and what differentiates them in purpose.

The nations of the earth

Another parallel theme in both revelations has to do with the “nations of the earth”.

97 124
18 And, now, behold, if Zion do these things she shall prosper, and spread herself and become very glorious, very great, and very terrible.

19 And the nations of the earth shall honor her, and shall say: Surely Zion is the city of our God, and surely Zion cannot fall, neither be moved out of her place, for God is there, and the hand of the Lord is there;

3 This proclamation shall be made to all the kings of the world, to the four corners thereof, to the honorable president-elect, and the high-minded governors of the nation in which you live, and to all the nations of the earth scattered abroad.

9 And again, I will visit and soften their hearts, many of them for your good, that ye may find grace in their eyes, that they may come to the light of truth, and the Gentiles to the exaltation or lifting up of Zion.

Next to a Pure Stream?

Another reason why it appears as if section 97 is referring to the Boarding House of the Lord on the river is because 97 metaphorically (and probably literally) implies that the House of the Lord would sit next to a pure stream to yield precious fruit:

9 For I, the Lord, will cause them to bring forth as a very fruitful tree which is planted in a goodly land, by a pure stream, that yieldeth much precious fruit.

10 Verily I say unto you, that it is my will that a house should be built unto me in the land of Zion, like unto the pattern which I have given you.

Which house of the Lord meets the above description?

As you can see, the Boarding House of the Lord is on the banks of the river while the Temple on the hill is not.

There are other reasons to believe that Section 97 and 124 are speaking of the same temple.

It is probably not a coincidence that they both address multiple parallel themes, some of which are not found in any other revelations.

The Pure in Heart to See and Converse
with Christ’s Presence

One parallel theme has to do with Christ’s presence being in the temple so that the pure in heart can see and commune with him and receive conversations

D&C 97 D&C 124
15 And inasmuch as my people build a house unto me in the name of the Lord, and do not suffer any unclean thing to come into it, that it be not defiled, my glory shall rest upon it;

It shall be holy, or the Lord your God will not dwell therein…

39 for your oracles in your most holy places wherein you receive conversations

Moved out of their Place

Notice similar wording and topic of the saints being “moved out of their place“, showing up in both section 124 and section 97

D&C 97 D&C 124
17 But if it be defiled I will not come into it, and my glory shall not be there; for I will not come into unholy temples.

18 And, now, behold, if Zion do these things she shall prosper, and spread herself and become very glorious, very great, and very terrible.

19 And the nations of the earth shall honor her, and shall say: Surely Zion is the city of our God, and surely Zion cannot fall, neither be moved out of her place, for God is there, and the hand of the Lord is there;

44 If ye labor with all your might, I will consecrate that spot that it shall be made holy.

The term “moved out of her place” clearly links the House of the Lord narrative in section 97 with the House of the Lord narrative in section 124!

The first, failed attempt in building the Nauvoo Boarding House of the Lord resulted in the saints getting moved out of their place, but when the house is completed in the 3rd watch, the saints will not be moved out of their place.

The House in the Land of Zion was to be
financed by the Law of Consecration

Just prior to the saints migrating to Nauvoo, the Lord gave a revelation while the saints were in Far West, explaining how temples in Zion was to be financed. In it the Lord declared that the law of “tithing” (consecration) would be the means of “the building of mine house”. The Lord also revealed that it would be through this law of tithing (consecration) that the land of Zion would be “sanctified”.

1 Verily, thus saith the Lord, I require all their surplus property to be put into the hands of the bishop of my church in Zion,

2 For the building of mine house, and for the laying of the foundation of Zion and for the priesthood, and for the debts of the Presidency of my Church.

3 And this shall be the beginning of the tithing of my people.

4 And after that, those who have thus been tithed shall pay one-tenth of all their interest annually; and this shall be a standing law unto them forever, for my holy priesthood, saith the Lord.

5 Verily I say unto you, it shall come to pass that all those who gather unto the land of Zion shall be tithed of their surplus properties, and shall observe this law, or they shall not be found worthy to abide among you.

6 And I say unto you, if my people observe not this law, to keep it holy, and by this law sanctify the land of Zion unto me, that my statutes and my judgments may be kept thereon, that it may be most holy, behold, verily I say unto you, it shall not be a land of Zion unto you.

7 And this shall be an ensample unto all the stakes of Zion. Even so. Amen. (Section 119)

The above revelation is completely consistent with the following passage in section 97

“Yea, let it be built speedily, by the tithing of my people.” (D&C 97:11)

Neither the building of the Boarding House of the Lord by the river or the Temple on the hill met this requirement. We have previously demonstrated that “tithing” means “consecration” in modern revelation.

Since the saints chose not live the law of consecration in Nauvoo, neither house was being built by the tithing of God’s people.

The prophet did implement a work schedule for the temple on the hill based on each man working every tenth day, however it is obvious from reading the above passages that the Lord was referring to the law of consecration, not a ten day work schedule.

It appears as if the one major reason why the saints failed in their attempts to build a House of the Lord, is because they did not implement the law of consecration in Nauvoo.

Less than a year after section 119 was given, when the Saints were establishing Nauvoo, Joseph Smith declared before a High Council on March 6 1840 that “The law of consecration could not be kept here, and that it was the will of the Lord that we should desist from trying to keep it; and if persisted in, it would produce a perfect defeat of its object..”

Regardless of whether Joseph Smith was inspired when he declared that, it makes the proper completion of either edifice impossible according to the commandments of the Lord.

6 March 1840 • Friday560

561<6> Attended the meeting of the High Council of Iowa, at brother Elijah Fordham‘s Montrose, Extracts from the Minutes of the Council.

“President Joseph Smith Junr. addressed the Council on various subjects, and in particular, the Consecration law; stating that the affair now before Congress, was the only thing that ought to interest the Saints at present. and till it was ascertained how it would terminate, no person ought to be brought to account before the constituted authorities of the Church for any offence whatever, and was determined that no man should be brought before the Council in Nauvoo, till that time &c &c that the law of consecration could not be kept here, and that it was the will of the Lord that we should desist from trying to keep it, and if persisted in, it would produce a perfect defeat of its object, and that he assumed the whole responsibility of not keeping it until proposed by himself. [HC 4:93] He requested every exertion to be made to forward affidavits to Washington, and also letters to Members of Congress, the following votes were then passed. 1st. That this Council will coincide with Prest. Joseph Smith Junr.’s decision concerning the Consecration Law, on the principle of it being the will of the Lord, and of Prest. Smith’s taking the responsibility on himself. 2nd. That a Committee of three be appointed consisting of Wheeler BaldwinLyman Wight— and Abra[ha]m O. Smoot to obtain Affidavits and other documents to be forwarded to the City of Washington. 3rd. That the Clerk of this Council be directed to inform Judge [Elias] Higbee, that it is the wish of this Council that he should not upon any consideration, consent to accept of any thing of Congress short of our just rights and demands for our losses and damages in Missouri. REF

He repeated this directive again on March 30, 1841:

Joseph said that an Equality would Not answer for he says if we were equal in property at present in six months we would be worse than Ever for there is too many Dishonest men amongst us who has more injenity to threat the Rest &cREF

In light of the commandments of the Lord regarding how the building of the House of the Lord should be conducted, as well as how the Land of Zion must be sanctified by living consecration, it appears as if Joseph may have acted from his personal judgment rather than conforming to revelation

Another possibility is simply that the saints were unworthy to live the principle and God had revealed that to Joseph. .Or possibly he simply realized that God wanted him to deliver the saints over to Satan.

Many other passages in the D&C warn that “if the saints are not ONE, they are not mine” (38:27)

The Lord had also warned that if the saints were not equal in their temporal things, the spirit would be withheld:

“in your temporal things you shall be equal, and this not grudgingly, otherwise the abundance of the manifestations of the Spirit shall be withheld.”

Section 85:3 states that only those who have consecrated may have their names enrolled with the people of God

3  It is contrary to the will and commandment of God that those who receive not their inheritance by consecration, agreeable to his law, which he has given, that he may tithe [consecrate] his people, to prepare them against the day of vengeance and burning, should have their names enrolled with the people of God.

Interestingly, neither of the houses of the Lord in Nauvoo met the above requirement because Joseph decided that the law of consecration could not be lived at that time in Nauvoo

Because of the numerous admonitions to live consecration along with the many consequences given for not living it, it is difficult to believe that Joseph’s decision was endorsed by the Lord unless he was knowingly delivering God’s apostate people over to Satan as was prophesied of in one of the very first revelations.

One red flag is that Joseph did not produce a revelation from the Lord absolving the saints from the commandment to live consecration. Joseph’s concession to take full responsibility for the decision to not consecrate in Nauvoo was given in leu of a revelation from the Lord telling them not to consecrate in Nauvoo.

This appears to be another area wherein we can see the effects of the atonement offering intercession and the covering over the eyes of the Lord’s Seer.

The parable of the Redemption of Zion

Another strong reason to question the credibility of the Temple on the Hill, is that the parable of the redemption of Zion in section 101 and 103 only speaks of the Saints building one tower (One House of the Lord).

And now I will show you may know my will concerning the redemption of Zion.

44 A certain nobleman had a spot of land, very choice; and he said unto his servants: Go ye unto my vineyard, even upon this very choice piece of land, and plant twelve olive trees;

45 And set watchmen round about them, and build a tower, that one may overlook the land round about, to be a watchman upon the tower, that mine olive trees may not be broken down when the enemy shall come to spoil and take upon themselves the fruit of my vineyard.

Only one tower is mentioned in the entire parable. Just one house of the Lord was being built.

Few people realize that Joseph Smith actually gave a discourse in Nauvoo on July 1840 about the parable of the redemption of Zion. This sermon was given prior to section 124 which was given on January 19 1841.

We shall build the Zion of the Lord in peace untill the servants of that Lord shall begin to lay the found[a]tion of a great and high watch Tower and then shall they begin to say within themselves what need hath my Lord of this tower seeing this is a time of peace &c—9

Then the Enemy shall come as a thief in the night and [one blank line] scatter the servants abroad…

IN the discourse, Joseph essentially prophesied to the saints that their first attempt to build the Temple on the hill would fail. How strange is that? Joseph was commanding the saints to build a temple and at the same time he was prophesying that they would fail in their attempt?!?!

Clearly, Joseph was motivated to build the Nauvoo temple that is located up on the hill because he assumed that it needed to be built to bring to pass the first part of the redemption of Zion according to the parable in 101.

Again, according to his discourse, the justification for building the Temple was simply the parable contained in sections 101 and 103 . But it appears as if he may have gotten a little ahead of himself. He should have waited for a directive from the Lord to build a house of the Lord once they got to Nauvoo.

He ended the discourse by saying

Now brethren I obligate myself to build as great a temple as ever solomon did if the church will back me up

Hmm. I suspect that some might suggest that the declaration smacks of personal pride and aggrandizement rather than to humbly obey the commandment of the Lord. The above declaration fits nicely with another boast he made in Nauvoo

“I have more to boast of, than ever any man had. I am the only man that has ever been able to keep a whole church together since the days of Adam. … Neither Paul, John, Peter nor Jesus ever did it. I boast that no man ever did such work as I. The followers of Jesus ran away from him; but the Latter-day Saints never ran away from me yet” (“History of the Church,” 6:408-409).

Joseph must have been somewhat shocked and confused when shortly after his discourse and the beginning of the construction of the Temple, the Lord gave the revelation contained in section 124 which seemingly commanded the building of a competing house of the Lord. The confusion would take place since the building of two structures is not contained in the parable or any other scriptures.

And yet section 124 placed great urgency upon building the Nauvoo Boarding House of the Lord, so it could not be put on the backburner.

Hence, Joseph began bundling the importance of both structures together:

“.. If the Temple and Nauvoo house are not finished you must run away..”

“The building of N. House is just as sacred in my view as the Temple. I want the Nauvoo House built it must be built, our salvation depends upon it.”

“When men have done what they can or will for the temple, let them do what they can for the Nauvoo House. We never can accomplish our work at the expense of another”

“the banks are failing & it is the privilege to say what a currency we want. gold & silver to build the Temple & Nauvoo house.”

“if we did not build the temple & Nauvoo house it would proove the ruin of the place that if we did not build those buildings we might as well leave the place & that it was as necessary to build one as the other..”

The Twelve Apostles were mirroring the narrative. Here is what the Twelve said in one of their epistles:

“and the first great object before us, and the Saints generally, is to help forward the completion of the Temple and the Nauvoo House—buildings which are now in progress according to the revelations, and which must be completed to secure the salvation of the Church in the last days;

for God requires of His Saints to build Him a house wherein his servants may be instructed, and endowed with power from on high, to prepare them to go forth among the nations, and proclaim the fullness of the Gospel for the last time, and bind up the law, and seal up the testimony, leaving this generation without excuse, and the earth prepared for the judgments which will follow.

In this house all the ordinances will be made manifest, and many things will be shown forth, which have been hid from generation to generation.”

“The foundations of this house, and also of the Temple, are laid; and the walls of the basement stories of each nearly completed; and the finishing of the whole is depending on the exertions of the Saints…”

It is evident that confusion existed in the fact that the saints were endeavoring to build two houses even though the parable Joseph used to justify the Temple on the hill only mentioned one House of the Lord.

To summarize some of the observations that suggest that sections 97 and 124 were both addressing the House of the Lord by the river:

  1. The Nauvoo Boarding House of the Lord was constructed to provide all of the needs that any House of the Lord can provide leaving no valid reason for the Temple on the Hill.
  2. Both sections speak of the pure in heart seeing God and receiving conversations within House
  3. Both sections address the topic of the saints being moved out of their place the first attempt and not being moved out of their place upon the second attempt.
  4. Both section 97 and 124 speak of the house of the Lord for the WORK OF THE MINISTRY
  5. Section 97 mandates the house be built speedily section 124 mandates it be completed within a sufficient time or saints will be rejected as a church with their dead
  6. Both command the saints to not pollute the House
  7. Both revelations speak of how the house pertains to the “pure in heart
  8. Both revelations speak of how the House pertains to the “Nations of the earth”
  9. Section 97 suggests the House will be by a pure stream
  10. Both section suggest the need for the temple so that God’s presence may dwell therein

So why is it important to understand the true relationship of the two Houses of the Lord that the saints in Nauvoo failed to complete?

Because you cannot truly understand the depth of the apostasy of the latter day church unless you understand how and when the Lord rejected the church with their dead.

The is one of the most horrifying yet revealing parts of section 124. The Lord warned the saints that if they did not complete the construction of the Nauvoo Boarding House of the Lord on the river, they would be rejected as a church with their dead:

31 But I command you, all ye my saints, to build a house unto me; and I grant unto you a sufficient time to build a house unto me; and during this time your baptisms shall be acceptable unto me.

32 But behold, at the end of this appointment your baptisms for your dead shall not be acceptable unto me; and if you do not these things at the end of the appointment ye shall be rejected as a church, with your dead, saith the Lord your God.Now let us review one of the most revealing prophetic warnings that the saints got from the Lord:

Every truthful historian will validate the fact that neither temple was completed during Joseph’s lifetime.

Lyman Wights was convinced that the saints had been rejected as a church with their dead:

“We were to have a sufficient time to build that house during which time our baptisms for our dead should be acceptable in the river. If we did not build within this time we were to be rejected as a church we and our dead together.

Both the temple and baptizing went very leisurely till the temple was somewhere in building the second story when Bro Joseph from the Stand announced the alarming declaration that baptism for our dead was no longer acceptable in the river, as much to say the time for building the temple had passed by and both we and our dead were rejected together.

The church now stands rejected together with their dead The church being rejected now stands alienated from her God in every sense of the word” Church History Vol 2 p 790

There is an overwhelming amount of evidence to demonstrate that the saints were in apostasy during the Nauvoo era and that they were rejected as a church with their dead.

After relocating to Nauvoo, Joseph Smith made the following observation:

“We have been chastened by the hand of God heretofore for not obeying His commands… we have treated lightly His commands, AND DEPARTED FROM HIS ORDINANCES, and the Lord has chastened us sore, and we have felt His arm and kissed the rod…” (History of the Church, 5:65; from “The Government of God,” an editorial published in Times and Seasons, July 15, 1842, p. 857; Joseph Smith was the editor of the periodical.)

Truly, the literal fulfillment of the prophecy in Isaiah 24 had found its culmination in the history of the latter day saints::

5 The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Isaiah 24 see also section 1)

For the proper context of what was happening in Nauvoo, we need to review the warning that God gave the church before it was even formally organized:

And now if this generation do harden their hearts against my word, behold I WILL DELIVER THEM UP UNTO SATAN

The original doctrine and Covenants Commentary by Smith and Sjodahl defines the term Great and Abominable Church of the Devil:

A church which has discarded the principles of Church governments established by our Lord and adopted those of Lucifer” (page 202 )

Is it possible that God used his intercessory servant to deliver His apostate people over to Satan for a little season as they were being rejected as a church with their dead because of their rejection of the fulness of the gospel?

Is it possible that the two houses of the Lord represented to the two paths that were being offered during the dark days of Nauvoo?

Is it a coincidence that the Nauvoo Temple on the hill and others built in the likeness thereof since, displays worshipful occult signs and graven images on it that the Lord has commanded his people to not make?

  1. Mike says:

Link the “great and abominable church” with 1 Nephi 13. That revelation is not primarily about Columbus discovering America, but it’s about the return of Joseph Smith and other first laborers. The great and abominable church is a reference to the modern day LDS church. The book of the Lamb of God (v. 28) is the Doctrine and Covenants, (v. 23) it contains the covenants of the Lord, the great and abominable church removed plain and precious truths from it (Lectures on Faith). There are so many matches to what the modern LDS church did to the D&C.

At this point, I see a no win situation for the USA. If Biden is installed, he will be a puppet for those really running thing and we will quickly go down the path of the “global reset”. If Trump overturns the fraud, there will be rioting and violence by antifa/BLM. I don’t know if he would be able to remain in office the full 2nd term. Events have been positioned such that there will be no refuge in the USA. Nauvoo and the redemption of Zion will be the only way out.

    • “At this point, I see a no win situation for the USA”

It is sure looking that way. This seems to be the great milestone that marks the time of the intervention..

The question is, how quickly will things disintegrate from here on out.
